Wolf Spider Venom

The following Druids has been conducting experiments involving spider venoms. Upon the players' initial encounter, they might request the party to retrieve a sample from a nearby Giant Wolf Spider den. As a reward, they will offer gold or discounts on their stock.

Wolf Spider venom must be harvested from the corpse of a Giant Wolf Spider within 1 hour of its death. As much as 1 vial can be harvested from the creature. A single vial contains 10 doses. The venom acts as an injury poison. A creature exposed to it must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1d6 hours. The poisoned creature is incapacitated.

Upon the completion of this task, the Druids will express their interest in acquiring 'the rarest of venoms.' If inquired further, they will divulge rumors about a potent ingredient known as the Venom of the Wolf Spider Broodmother, believed to be obtainable solely from a creature rumored to be concealed within The Ruins of Kitsbain.

Anthiil, the notorious author of 'What Not to Eat,' is willing to pay handsomely for a sample of this venom.
