Randolph the heretic
Randolph made a controversial claim in his new book:
Again and again we see in the tales of the gods, that the other deities always requested that Solos made the rulings. Could it be that Xor bent his own rules?
-- Excerpt from On the great rules, By Randolph Silias.
This simple statement is deeply offensive to Xor's followers and Randolph is now being targeted by zealots intending to assassinate him, both directly and by hiring mercenaries.
Randolph can request the protection of the party for a short time. He's waiting for his friends in Xor's temples to cool the situation down, but he doesn't know how long that will take. Killing Xor's zealots is likely to exacerbate the situation and put a target on the player's backs.
Randolph is willing to help the party in any way he can in payment. If the party doesn't need his help, a monetary reward can be arranged.
If the party is aligned with the church of Xor, killing Randolph will gain the favor of Xor's highest ranked Clerics.
