Leaning on the signpost at Difonworth Crossing is Ospica, a manifestation of the deity Caspio. Ospica is a female elf, however Caspio is known to take many forms, and you may instead use a name, gender and race of your choice.

Caspio has abandoned her divine peers, preferring to seek adventure in the mortal realm. She enjoys befriending (and sometimes even seducing) adventurers and leading them on dangerous quests. However, her interest often wanes quickly, and she has a tendency to abandon her companions abruptly, without so much as a goodbye.

Currently, she seeks adventurers to accompany her to the The Empty Observatory, a ruin to the north-east. Caspio believes that once the monsters camping the ruin have been cleared out, she will be able to fix up the old telescope enough to observe the passing of Grimes' Comet. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity - the comet only passes once every 55 years.

Ospica is up front there is no great treasure to be won, just a story to tell your grandchildren. However, an enterprising adventurer might be able to recover some old artifacts worth some gold to the right buyer.
