Retrieve the Astral Catalyst

Various scholars believe that the Astral Catalyst holds the key to unlocking lost knowledge about the ancient civilization that built The Slumbering Tower. They want to hire adventurers to retrieve the weapon so they can study its secrets. Players visiting a Wizard University may be recruited to do the job.

Astrus and Geflus are once again locked in a contest over the Slumbering Tower. While the fragile truce of the Treaty of Ataland prevents overt action, both factions military leadership are discreetly looking ot hire group of adventurers 'off the books' to enter the tower and claim the Astral Catalyst on their behalf. The party may be approached by either General to retrieve the object.

Alternatively, rumors have surfaced that a crew of pirates have discovered a secret about the Slumbering Tower - possibly with the help of Gelflus. Any faction could be concerned about the weapon falling into the hands of these ruthless marauders and employ adventurers to prevent them from ever reaching the tower. If the adventurers can defeat the pirates, they may be able to claim the secret for themselves.
