8 | 16 gp | 20 gp | Clockwork Parts | common | A selection of junk screws, springs, gears, and other clockwork parts. | |
1 | 49 gp | 60 gp | Crank-powered cyclopedia | uncommon |
A remarkable clockwork book. Cycle the letter knobs to spell out the thing you are interested in, and an internal parchment scroll will be scrolled to the correct entry. The writing on the scroll is tiny, and must be read though the thick built-in magnifying lens. Unfortunately, the text itself has many omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate. The cyclopedia has a crank and is only powered while the crank is being turned. |

2 | 170 gp | 210 gp | Long-wind encryptex | uncommon |
This device is operated by 26 buttons, one for each common letter. One enters a pass-code first, then the message. As the message is entered the encrypted version is provided via a large dial. The same process is used to decrypt an existing message. Messages encrypted this way are almost impossible to crack, save by magical means. The encryptex has a key which when wound for 6 seconds (1 turn) powers the encryptex for 1 minute. Maximum wind time is 3 minutes, giving 30 minutes power. |
|
5 | 980 gp | 1,200 gp | Magitech audio reproducer | uncommon |
Records sound by cutting a grove in to a wet clay cylinder. Can also play the sound back. The sound loses much of it's depth, but is surprisingly audible. A single clay cylinder can contain 1 minute of sound. The cylinders are very fragile once made. The audio reproducer has an enchantment that moves the clockwork magically on command. If you say the command words "audio reproducer on," the device will be magically powered for 1 hour, or until you say "audio reproducer off." This property cannot be used again until after a long rest. |
